Consists of correspondence, deeds, wills, receipts, notebooks, newspaper clippings and other financial and legal documents of the Wright family of Obion County, Tennessee and Chicago, Illinois from 1861 to 1996. The bulk of the letters are written to and from Charles M.and Fannie Ann WWright while in Obion County (1884-1892) and Chicago (1893-1925). Includes genealogical information, Civil War prison photographs, a description and history of a chair Charles Wright received while imprisoned at Rock Island, Illinois (1864-1865), documents relating to his career as a criminal court reporter in Chicago (1893-1904) and family letters and photographs.
